Indore, Madhya Pradesh

We design for the quiet moments.

Studio Eight is an interior design practice rooted in light, material honesty, and the belief that a home should feel calm before it looks impressive.

Every space begins with a question, not a drawing.

We began with a single apartment in Indore and one conviction  that a room should be understood before it is decorated. Every project since has started the same way: with questions, not swatches.

How does the morning light enter this room? Where does the family gather without being asked to? What gets used every day, and what has simply never been thrown away? The answers shape the plan long before a single material is chosen.

Today the studio works across homes, workplaces and hospitality spaces, but the method has not changed. We still measure a space by how it feels at seven in the evening, not by how it photographs at noon.

A room should feel like it was always there never like it just arrived.

Studio Eight

Four things we refuse to compromise on.

Light first

Every plan begins with where the sun falls, and how that changes between morning and evening.

Honest material

Wood that reads as wood, stone that ages well, linen that softens. Nothing pretending to be something else.

Restraint

We keep removing until only what the space genuinely needs is left standing.

Craft

Details are resolved on site with the people making them, not only on a drawing.

Let's begin with a conversation.

Tell us about the space and how you want to use it. We’ll tell you honestly what it could become.
